Great Saint Mary's University Church, Cambridge

We were approached to design and install a digital sound and live streaming system within this large city centre church to replace the existing loudspeaker system which was showing signs of its age and the over-complicated live streaming system which due to its complexity often failed.

The new system comprises of a Yamaha digital system providing good quality sound to the nave, balconies, and chancel as separate zones using discreet line array loudspeakers. Replacement AKG GN slim gooseneck microphones were added to the existing Sennheiser radio microphones resulting in a largely automated system to stream smaller services when an operator is not available whilst still allowing for adjustment of the system when the AV operators are on hand and the occasion demands it.
